Position Faculty (Non‑tenure track), Full‑time Job Title: Physician – Neonatal Pediatrician Location: Lexington, KY Posting: Open until filled Job Summary The University of Kentucky College of Medicine seeks a faculty physician to provide inpatient care services in the Pediatric Neonatology Intensive Unit (NICU). The role entails directing patient care for admitted neonates, writing progress notes, submitting clinical charges, and overseeing fellows, residents, neonatal nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities include on‑call coverage (night and weekend) as assigned, providing individual teaching to pediatric residents and other health‑care professionals, attending regional, national, and/or international scientific meetings, and serving on relevant committees. Responsibilities Provide inpatient care in the NICU. Direct patient care for admitted neonates. Write daily progress notes and submit clinical charges. Oversee fellows, residents, neonatal nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and ancillary staff. Participate in night and weekend on‑call coverage as assigned. Provide individual teaching to pediatric residents and other health‑care professionals. Attend scientific meetings and serve on committees as needed. Qualifications M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent. Completion of Residency in Pediatrics. Completion of Fellowship in Neonatology. Board certified or board eligible in Pediatrics and Neonatology. Eligible for a state‑required medical license.
