Registered Nurse, PACU, Full Time, Night

Position Summary To fulfill the needs of patients in a variety of age groups, their family members, and the community by performing varied patient care tasks and functions in accordance with licensure, certification, training, and regulatory requirements. Educational Requirements Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. Current/valid State of New Jersey license (or legal permission to work from the New Jersey Board of Nursing). Completion of general nursing orientation, CPR certification, and unit-based orientation. Experience Computer and keyboard skills. Medical terminology required. Skills ACLS, BLS , PALS required. Physical & Cognitive Requirements The position requires a full range of body motion including physically assisting patients, stretching, bending, lifting, sitting, kneeling, stooping, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. It is classified as Very Heavy Work under USDOL, involving lifting in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, 50 pounds frequently, or 20 pounds constantly. The National Institute of Safety and Health (NIOSH) guidelines will be followed. Manual and finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and constant talking and listening in English are required. Must demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills, including speech clarity, understanding of information relayed, deductive and inductive reasoning skills. Considerable walking, standing, sitting, reaching, filing, typing, and photocopying are required. Ability to perform work accurately, pay attention to details, manage transitions between tasks, function in stressful situations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members (MDs, Rehab, Respiratory, DI, Laboratory, etc.) is necessary.
