Full-Time Ditch Rider
Personnel Plus, Inc. is now accepting applications for a Full-Time Ditch Rider in the Burley-Declo area.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to obtain a Class A CDL (company paid)
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Physically capable of performing manual labor in varying weather conditions
- Basic computer proficiency
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Detail-oriented, dependable, patient, and possess strong communication skills
- Must reside in the Burley-Declo area
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain assigned irrigation canals and delivery systems within the Irrigation District during the irrigation season (March-October)
- Monitor water delivery and ensure proper operation of assigned routes
- Assist with off-season maintenance of canals, facilities, and equipment
- Perform ditch spraying, burning, and other weed control activities
- Remove and properly dispose of weeds, debris, and trash from canals and surrounding areas
- Safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools required to perform assigned duties
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with supervisors and water users
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience maintaining irrigation canals and/or pump systems
- Proven record of safe heavy equipment operation
- Proven record of safe commercial vehicle operation
- Experience or certifications in mechanics, welding, or concrete work
- Certifications in aquatic weed control and pest control are preferred
Pay: DOE (Depending on Experience)
