Job Opportunity – Operating Room Nurse (Circulating & Scrubbing) – Vermont

Start Date: November 23, 2026

Location: Windsor, Vermont

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 32 hours guaranteed per week, 8-hour shifts with weekday call 2-3 days per week and weekend call 1 weekend per month. One-hour call-back time required. Holiday coverage required for two holiday blocks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's periods). Non-billable 8-hour orientation.

Highlights:

• Perform both circulating and scrubbing roles across multiple surgical specialties including general surgery, urology, ophthalmology, podiatry, pain management, and endoscopy procedures
• Small surgical environment with 2 operating rooms and 1 procedure room, primarily outpatient procedures with limited inpatient cases
• Adult and geriatric patient population, ages 16 and older
• Cerner EMR system with hospital-provided scrubs
• Call pay at $4/hour and charge differential at $3/hour with 1.25x multipliers for call-back, holiday, and overtime
• 32-hour guaranteed weekly hours in a close-knit surgical team

Requirements:

• Active Vermont RN license
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Minimum 2-5 years of operating room nursing experience required
• Cataract surgical experience required (non-negotiable)
• Both scrubbing and circulating experience with completed skills checklists for both specialties
• Multiple surgical specialty experience required
• Phase I/PACU experience required
• Experience working in smaller OR facilities required
• Cerner EMR experience required
• BSN preferred; travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Must have personal vehicle (firm requirement for this rural location without public transportation)
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
• Maximum 5 days of requested time off will be considered; all scheduling requests must be submitted at time of application
