Job Description
Bella Smiles of Nesconset is seeking a Part-Time Dental Hygienist to join our patient-centered clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care, educate patients on oral health, and utilize Dentrix practice management software and Dexis digital imaging systems to support efficient clinical workflows in a family-oriented practice.
Key Responsibilities
Perform routine dental cleanings, periodontal examinations, scaling, and root planing.
Assess gum health and identify signs of periodontal disease for early intervention.
Take and review digital X-rays to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Educate patients on proper brushing, flossing, oral hygiene, and post-treatment care.
Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted.
Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews.
Utilize Dentrix and Dexis for patient charting, imaging, and treatment documentation.
Deliver compassionate, patient-focused care while maintaining a positive clinical experience.
