Interventional Radiology/Neuro Special Procedures Technologist Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Sign-On for Eligible New Hires WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093 WORK SCHEDULE: FT, 40 Hours; 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday with rotating days off; On call required (Must live within 30 minutes of Texas Health Plano) NEURO SPECIAL PROCEDURE DEPARTMENT HIGHLIGHTS: Newly built Second Hybrid Neuro room Comprehensive Stroke Certification Ability to cross train within Heart & Vascular Employer-sponsored specialty certification for Interventional Radiology available to enhance training and professional development WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Associate Degree Applied Science required OR Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required. 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred. ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required And GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred OR RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist-Obtain within 6 months of hire if graduated from Cardiovascular Accredited Program LMRT-Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist-If you have RCIS certification only BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required. ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support-within 90 days of hire required WHAT YOU WILL DO: Imaging Quality and Processing: Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam. Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations. Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique. Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
