Nice to Have Skills & Experience Salary - \n160-175K with Bonus\n\n50% Travel across the US\n\n70% - Hands on and 30% leadership needed Job Description The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, administration, security, monitoring, and ongoing support of network infrastructure supporting the data center operations and critical facility systems.\n\nThis position provides technical ownership and support for networks connecting Operational Technology (OT) and facility management platforms, including Building Management Systems (BMS), Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS), environmental monitoring, physical access control, surveillance, and other systems necessary for the safe and reliable operation of data center facilities from construction phase through operational phase up to external\nCertifications.\n\nNetwork Engineer works closely with Data Center Construction, Operations, Facilities Management, Information\nTechnology, Information Security, engineering teams, customers, vendors, and third-party service providers to\nmaintain secure, resilient, highly available, and properly documented network environments.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES\n\nNetwork Engendering Infrastructure\n• Install, configure, administer, and support networks and network devices such as switches, routers, firewalls,\nwireless infrastructure, VPNs, etc. in support of ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI DSS.\n\nData Center Operational Technology\n• Provide network engineering and technical support for Operational Technology and facility systems,\nincluding:\no Building Management Systems (BMS)\no Electrical Power Monitoring Systems (EPMS)\no Environmental and facility monitoring systems\no Physical Access Control Systems\no Video surveillance and security systems\no Power, cooling, UPS, generator, and related monitoring platforms\no Data center infrastructure monitoring and management systems\no Other network-connected facility and operational equipment\n\nNetwork Monitoring and Performance\n• Monitor network traffic, bandwidth utilization, latency, packet loss, interface errors, device health,\nenvironmental conditions to ensure optimal performance, availability, reliability, and minimal downtime.\n\nNetwork and Operational Technology Security\n• Implement, maintain, and oversee technical security controls protecting data center networks, operational\nsystems, infrastructure, and associated data.\n• Support vulnerability management activities involving network and OT systems, including vulnerability\nidentification, risk assessment, remediation planning, patch coordination, and validation.\nVendor and Remote Access Management\n• Establish and maintain relationships with vendors, manufacturers, integrators, and service providers.\n• Ensure third-party remote access is appropriately authenticated, authorized, segmented, monitored, and\nrestricted to required systems and services.\nIncident Response and Troubleshooting\n• Respond to network outages, performance degradation, cybersecurity events, and other incidents affecting\ndata center operational systems and assist with containment, investigation, recovery, and restoration\nactivities following security incidents.\n\nBusiness Continuity and Disaster Recovery\n• Participate in the development, implementation, maintenance, and testing of business continuity and disaster\nrecovery plans for critical network and operational systems.\nChange and Configuration Management\n• Develop implementation plans, technical procedures, testing criteria, risk assessments, validation procedures,\nand rollback plans for significant network changes.\n• Maintain standardized network device configurations and configuration baselines.\n\nDocumentation and Asset Management\n• Develop and maintain accurate network architecture and topology diagrams. Ensure emergency network\nchanges are documented and reviewed in accordance with established procedures.\n• Maintain accurate inventories of network equipment, including manufacturer, model, serial number, location,\nIP address, firmware version, warranty, and lifecycle status where applicable.\nCompliance and Risk Management\n• Maintain appropriate records necessary to support troubleshooting, security reviews, compliance\nassessments, and audits.\n• Assist with technical risk assessments involving new and existing network and operational systems.\n• Document identified risks and participate in developing appropriate remediation or risk-treatment plans.\n• Work with IT Compliance and other stakeholders to ensure new systems and significant changes receive\nappropriate security review prior to implementation.\n\nTechnical Support and Collaboration\n• Serve as a technical resource to provide technical guidance regarding network architecture, connectivity,\ncybersecurity, and operational requirements for Data Center Construction, Operations, Facilities\nManagement, IT, Information Security, engineering teams, and other teams.\n• Participate in project planning and technical reviews for new data center facilities, expansions, system\nreplacements, and technology modernization initiatives.\n• Maintain awareness of emerging networking technologies, cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, vendor\nadvisories, and industry practices relevant to data center and OT environments.\n•\n\nTravel Requirements:\n• There will be travel associated with this position as required to perform the job duties.
