Coal Miner Job Description JENNMAR Services is currently seeking Experienced and Inexperienced Underground Coal Miners. These are full-time positions with competitive salaries and benefits available. PAY RATES!! $21-24 hour Benefits for Miners: Health, Dental, Vision Paid Time Off 401(k) with matching after 6 months Job Responsibilities for Miners: General Labor Roller and screen changes Belt work Steel sets Overcasts Jacks Seal preparation Pumpable cribs Scoop operating Bolting Other laborer duties as required Job Requirements for Miners: Underground AL Experienced Miner or Apprentice Miner Certification in the state of AL Required. Valid Driver's License Able to work any shifts, including weekends and holidays required. Ability to pass background and drug & alcohol testing required Distinct aptitudes to perform job duties with care, commitment, passion, and pride; Dependability to be consistently at work and on time with ability to work 40+ swing shift schedule as needed that may include working at different mine locations; Ability to utilize different task training and to work on weekends as required Team member mentality with ability to follow all safety regulations that includes wearing required Personal Protective Equipment; Lift and carry capability up to 50 lbs; Bend and twist carry capability of 40+ lbs; Equipment/material carry capability including up/down stairs; Multiple-limb coordination, near/far vision, manual dexterity, climbing capability, long-distance walking capability.
