Travel RN - Case Management

This is a 13-week contract position.

Days - 4 10s. Core hours of 8 AM to 4 PM. Saturday to Tuesday shift.

The Travel RN specializing in Case Management will have the responsibility to independently complete medical necessity reviews for Medicare and other non-commercial payers, as well as manage the care of patients in Observation, regardless of the payer source. This role involves collaboration with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure resource management and improve patient outcomes through effective discharge planning and care coordination.

Responsibilities:

• Determine medical necessity for all admissions and evaluate the need for continued stay.
• Identify inappropriate or untimely services.
• Assess discharge planning needs for patients of all ages and coordinate required services.
• Facilitate timely discharges from the hospital.
• Document all functions as required by regulatory agencies and identify improvement opportunities in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active Florida state license or multistate license.
• BLS certification.
• Minimum of 1 year of Case Management experience in an acute hospital setting.
• Knowledge of Medicare conditions such as the 2 midnight rule and 3-day stay requirement for SNF discharges.
