Job description: Residential Home Services Sales Professional Job Summary Honest Services/MechaniCool is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Residential Home Services Sales Professional to join our growing team. This position is responsible for helping homeowners identify the best HVAC, plumbing, and electrical solutions for their homes through honest recommendations, exceptional customer service, and professional consultations. As a Home Services Sales Professional, you will meet with homeowners following service appointments, inbound inquiries, company-generated leads, and self-generated opportunities. Your goal is to educate customers, understand their needs, and provide customized solutions that improve the comfort, safety, efficiency, and reliability of their homes. We are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, communicating value, and delivering an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities Meet with homeowners to evaluate their HVAC, plumbing, and electrical needs. Recommend repair, replacement, and upgrade options that best fit each customer's goals and budget. Educate customers on equipment features, financing options, warranties, maintenance memberships, and available promotions. Prepare accurate proposals and confidently present solutions that deliver long-term value. Follow up promptly with customers to answer questions and help guide purchasing decisions. Build trust through honest recommendations and exceptional customer service. Maintain detailed customer records and sales activities using company CRM software. Coordinate with service technicians, installers, dispatch, and office staff to ensure a seamless customer experience. Consistently achieve individual sales goals while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Generate referrals through outstanding service and develop additional business through networking and relationship building. Stay current on industry products, technologies, rebates, and best practices within the HVAC, plumbing, and electrical industries. Qualifications Previous residential sales experience is preferred, especially within HVAC, plumbing, electrical, home improvement, or other in-home sales industries. Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to build trust and develop lasting customer relationships. Self‑motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills. Comfortable presenting financing options and discussing investment decisions with homeowners. Experience using CRM software and mobile technology. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to work evenings and weekends as business demands require. Preferred Experience Residential HVAC replacement sales. Plumbing or electrical sales experience. In‑home consultation or home improvement sales. Knowledge of residential comfort systems, indoor air quality products, water treatment, generators, electrical upgrades, or energy efficiency solutions. Experience working with financing programs and manufacturer promotions. The ideal candidate is someone who genuinely enjoys helping homeowners make informed decisions.
