Pharmacist

Pharmacists at Hannaford Supermarkets play a vital role in ensuring customers receive prompt and courteous service and assistance. They help prepare prescriptions, maintain organized filing systems, and assist in data entry and inventory management. Pharmacists also support department maintenance and cleanliness, and adhere to company policies and safety standards.

Qualifications include successful completion of criminal background check and drug testing, excellent communication and customer service skills, strong keyboard skills, basic mathematic skills, effective time management, ability to multi-task, effective interpersonal skills, good problem-solving abilities, high levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Physical requirements include standing 100% of the time, using computer/keyboard/mouse/biometric scanner 100% of the time, handling containers and manipulating pills/capsules, clerical accuracy skills, frequent/continuous reaching, grasping, lifting, and carrying up to 20 lb., bending at the knees and waist repetitively up to 30% of the work day, and having sufficient visual acuity and audio capability.

Preferred requirements include supporting and working with pharmacist to achieve outstanding pharmaceutical care, maintaining confidentiality of customer and company information, understanding and operating the pharmacy register, computer software and telephony system, maintaining an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer focus, assisting in maintenance of third party prescription information, initiating prescription renewal requests, understanding pharmacy inventory control procedures, receiving and obtaining information on written prescriptions or telephoned refill requests, performing register functions and bagging customer purchases, relaying specific communications to customer, maintaining solid communication within the department, and successfully applying training to everyday pharmacy practice.

Salary range is between $16.00 - $21.40 Hrly.
