Valet - CHV PT - 30-32 hrs/week, evenings (4pm-12pm)

Compensation Pay Rate: $16.45/hour. 30-32 hrs/week, evenings (4pm-12pm). Responsibilities Drive and manoeuvre automatic and stick shift cars in confined, underground facilities, surface lots, or up and down parking garage ramps. Return to work stations quickly to facilitate optimum customer flow. Handle each vehicle with care and attention, and follow all facility safety precautions. Provide outstanding customer service by responding to customer needs, questions, and problems and/or complaints as quickly and efficiently as possible. May assist customers in and out of vehicles. Report any accidents, hazards or maintenance requirements, or the presence of any suspicious individuals or activities immediately to the manager. Remain vigilant for anything unusual or potentially threatening and inform management immediately. Monitor work area and property for safety and security. Recognize potentially dangerous situations and respond in the safest and most effective manner. Participate in all safety and security trainings within the market. On an exception basis, a valet attendant may be required to perform cashier duties or light garage maintenance duties. Required Qualifications Must know how to drive a manual and automatic transmission passenger vehicle. Possess math skills sufficient to calculate time and money. Must be able to understand verbal instructions and act accordingly in a timely manner. Eligibility Requirements Must submit your application for employment through to be considered for this position. Must have unrestricted authorization to work in US. Must be at least 18 years old. Valid driver's license; depending on location, may require a valid driver's license from the state in which the employee works. Must be willing to pass a math test as part of the selection process. Must be willing to submit to a drug, background investigation and MVR/Driving Record check as part of the selection process. Must be willing to work out of the Chicago area. Must be willing and able to work outdoors and be exposed to all types of weather elements. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to walk to or move to assist customers in a timely manner; In some cases, must be able to travel up and down parking garage ramps in order to assist customers and address garage issues. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Professional experience parking cars or working as a valet attendant. Prior customer service industry experience. Possess excellent communication skills in order to facilitate interaction with co-workers, superiors, and customers. Possess strong time management skills and ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with high customer volume. Positive attitude and strong customer focus.
