Cost Estimator in Manufacturing

V-Tron Electronics Corporation is looking for a Cost Estimator to join our team in our Attleboro location. The Cost Estimator is a key member of the Quoting department who will establish standard routings and costed parts list associated with customer provided documentation. The ideal candidate will be curious, have a strong attention to detail and passion for customer success. Responsibilities: Establish material costs to prescribe customer parameters by soliciting bids from suppliers. Build standard parts list in V-Tron Electronics parts list database. Documents costs in parts master database. Develop standard routings by identifying required operations on customer blueprints in the most efficient way possible. Experience Requirements: High School graduate or GED equivalent. Minimum 2-years assembly, supervisory or management experience in manufacture of wire harnesses/cable assembly operations. Skills Required: Must possess a working knowledge of windows-based software including but not limited to MS word, MS excel and MS outlook. Have in-depth understanding related to output of process equipment and techniques related to wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing. Communicate well with specific engineering departments assigned to develop and prove time standards for operations relating to cable and wire harness assembly. Exhibit strong negotiating and communications skills with external suppliers. Must be well organized and precise in documenting and storing data related to material cost, and time estimates Required Training: Meet the experience criteria documented above. Must display in depth understanding of assembly techniques associated with cable and wire harness assembly.
