Grounds Maintenance WorkerThis is work performing grounds maintenance and landscape installation duties including but not restricted to maintenance of turf, landscape, and irrigation; litter control; and set up for special events. In the event of a declared campus emergency, the position incumbent will make every effort to return to campus when directed.Departmental RequirementsDriver's LicensePossesses the ability to pound metal stakes into the ground with a sledge hammer and lift heavy tent poles into place.Required QualificationsCompletion of ninth (9th) grade or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Some positions may require possession of a classified driver's license appropriate to a type of vehicle operated.Statement(s) of UnderstandingThis position requires a background check.
