Mobility Technician

Saint Luke's South Hospital is seeking a Mobility Technician to join our team. The primary role of this position is to support patient mobility directly on the nursing unit, performing mobilization of patients under the supervision of the rehabilitation services and nursing departments. Responsibilities Participate in lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients. Practice safe patient handling skills and ergonomics. Utilize transfer devices and tools to assist in mobilization of patients. Maintain safety awareness for self, patients, others, and the environment. Communicate and collaborate effectively within the interdisciplinary team. Perform both clerical and effective computer skills. Set up and clean up the treatment area, including appropriate equipment and supplies. Mentor and train new technician staff. Perform all other duties as requested by the manager. Schedule M/W/F 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. with some holiday and weekend requirements. Part Time Day position. Qualifications Applicable experience: Less than 1 year. Equal Opportunity Employer.
