Works closely with architects, product managers, project management, and end-users in the development and enhancement of existing software systems and applications, proposing and recommending solutions that solve sophisticated business problems.The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth domain expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. Your Primary Responsibilities:Lead the CDTS Platform Enhancements and Modernization development and testing teamPrioritize Continuous Improvement initiatives related to service delivery to mitigate risksPartner with business users/IT senior leaders to ensure results are properly aligned with project roadmapsBalance demand and resources for short- and long-term budget planningCreate an inclusive environment of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and teamworkCreate an inclusive environment across all aspects of the teamRecommend resolution of technical problems based on root cause analysisRefine work estimates to ensure resource allocation is optimizedResponsible for the overall management of the team and specific business applications (including technical designs)Provide leadership and handles all aspects of team management, including the development of employeesUnderstand complexity of regulatory environment and ensures complianceControl success criteria from design through deployment for all non-functional requirementsMitigates risk by following established procedures, spotting key errors and demonstrating strong ethical behavior. Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of related experienceBachelor's degree and/or equivalent experienceTalents Needed for Success:Inspires different approaches or ways of working.Inspires teams to constructively challenge established views.Presents information clearly in writing and orally in larger group settings.Convince others on key topics by presenting persuasive arguments and alternative approaches.Sets an example for others by personally embracing change; Builds ownership for change by empowering others to lead change initiatives.Solid understanding in design and development of standard methodologies (Java, Web Services, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs and modern web applications. Experience with database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.Experience in AWS cloud stackExperience with Kafka, Kafka APIs and toolingExperience with Agile methodology and implementation of standard processes across squadsDemonstrated ability to develop plans and roadmaps for large scale projects as well as manage and deliver multiple releases on schedule and within budgetExcellent communication skills and the ability to partner with business stakeholders Strong leadership and people management skills with proven experience in a Director level roleThe salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
