Credentialed Veterinary TechnicianPaws & Claws Pet Medical Center is seeking an experienced Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our team and support both outpatient care and procedural services, including surgery and dentistry.We are seeking a versatile, client-focused technician who thrives in a dynamic general practice environment - balancing exam room care, client communication, and hands-on procedural support. We value credentialed technicians for the clinical knowledge, judgment, and communication skills they bring across all areas of the hospital, helping elevate the quality of medicine, client experience, and patient care.In this position, you will play a key role in both outpatient and procedural workflows, contributing to a consistent, high standard of care throughout the patient visit.Responsibilities include:Supporting efficient exam room, outpatient, surgical, and dental workflowsAssisting in surgeryPerforming dental procedures, including prophylaxis and radiographyMaintaining accurate, detailed medical records and treatment documentationReviewing treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions with clients clearly and compassionatelyIdentifying patient concerns and supporting efficient case management across the hospitalThis role is ideal for technicians who enjoy variety in their day, are confident moving between exam room and procedure support, and want to fully utilize their clinical knowledge, technical skillset, and client communication abilities in a collaborative general practice environment.Schedule and compensation:Compensation: $24-30 per hour, for each hour workedThis is a full-time position, with a 4/10 schedule and availability needed Monday-Friday.Full-time Benefits Package*:Bonus package: $2000 based on active, good-standing veterinary technician credentials in the state of [state]CE allowance: $500-$1,000 based on tenure and credentialsHealth package: Medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife insurance and disabilityEmployee Assistance Program401k with company matchPaid time off in accordance with site policy and applicable lawPersonal pet discount*Part-time team members may be eligible for limited benefits in accordance with company policy and state lawMinimum qualifications and skill set:2+ years of veterinary technician experienceActive and good-standing Certified Veterinary Technician in the state of Oregon **Proficiency in the following skills:Patient assessment, nursing care, and monitoringSurgical assistance and aseptic techniqueDental prophylaxis and dental radiographyVenipuncture and intravenous catheter placementRadiology positioning and safety protocolsMedication administration and accurate drug calculationsLaboratory sample collection and in-house diagnostic testingAccurate medical record documentationSafe, low-stress patient handling and restraint techniquesClient education and communication**Recent graduates pending VTNE testing and licensure, or out-of-state license-holders who are eligible to transfer a license, are also encouraged to applyLocated in the heart of Troutdale, Oregon, Paws & Claws Pet Medical Center provides compassionate, high-quality care in a warm and welcoming environment.
