Job Description
Blazer Jobs is now seeking qualified Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for full-time, school-based openings in the Houston, TX area for the 2026–2027 school year. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive district team and assist in delivering high‑quality speech and language services to K–12 students.
Requirements
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Studies or Communication Sciences
- Active Texas SLPA license (TDLR)
- Previous school or pediatric experience preferred
- Understanding of IEPs and therapy service delivery under SLP supervision
- Ability to pass background check and onboarding requirements
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to K–12 students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Assist with implementing and monitoring IEP goals
- Support evaluations by preparing materials and collecting data
- Document student progress and maintain compliance with district/state guidelines
- Collaborate with supervising SLP, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Promote student communication development in academic settings
