What You'll Do

• Provide critical care nursing for ICU patients with complex diagnoses including STEMI, respiratory distress, sepsis, stroke, DKA, and post-surgical patients
• Manage ventilated patients, EVD drains, central lines, and arterial lines
• Administer medications and perform procedures per protocol
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including RT, hospitalists, and charge nurses
• Maintain EMR documentation using Meditech Expanse
• Float to other units such as Med/Surg as needed, with ratios of 1:5-6 in Med/Surg and 1:2 in ICU
• Follow hospital policies on PPE, patient ratios, and holiday/work schedule commitments

What You Need Required:

• Active RN license in Louisiana or appropriate state
• BLS, ACLS, NIH certification
• At least 1 year of recent ICU experience (2 years for first-time travelers)
• Ability to pass EKG competency exam (includes MedSurg RN skills)
• Comfort working in high-acuity environments and managing complex patients

Preferred:

• Experience with arterial lines, NIHSS, chest tubes
• Flexibility to float and work a 12-hour night shift
• Strong communication skills and team collaboration
