Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified medical hospital coding specialist to join an established and talented team. The qualified candidate will have experience coding in a facility setting, be self‑motivated, positive and detail oriented. Inpatient and outpatient hospital coding experience is a requirement for this position. Job functions include the following.

Essential Functions

Quickly and accurately code facility services for a wide range of surgical procedures and diagnostic studies

Understand and follow NCCI edits and bundling requirements for facilities

Understand and follow implant charging and coding in a facility setting

Research and correct coding issues for proper payment independently

Work directly with the billing department to effectuate smooth AR processes

Write appeals for denials

Identify trends and offer corrective action

Work with administration to improve processes

Represent Trajectory and its clients in a professional manner

Maintain excellent customer service to both our clients and our providers patients

Other duties as assigned by manager
