Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This vital role involves preparing nutritious, flavorful meals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for food preparation, excellent kitchen skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an opportunity to showcase culinary expertise while supporting the dietary needs of our community.

Duties

Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality throughout each shift
Plan menus in collaboration with dietary and culinary teams, incorporating diverse and nutritious options
Handle food with care, maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times
Assist with food presentation, garnishing dishes to enhance visual appeal for fine dining or catering events
Manage meal preparation from start to finish, including ingredient measurement, cooking techniques, and plating
Support dietary aides by providing guidance on food handling procedures and meal assembly
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, adhering to health regulations

Requirements

Proven experience in dietary departments or food service environments, preferably with dietary aide or culinary background
Strong knowledge of food handling safety protocols and sanitation practices
Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques across various cuisines
Experience in fine dining or catering settings is highly desirable
Excellent knife skills and proficiency in food industry standards for food safety and quality control
Ability to work efficiently from early morning through late afternoon hours with minimal supervision
Prior restaurant or kitchen experience demonstrating ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
