22.5 hours/week (4.5 hrs./day: 9:00m 1:30pm)

10 months per school year

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

Duties:

• Prepares and portions daily school menu production items as specified by unit manager.
• Assists with pots and pans, general kitchen clean up, serving food to students and ware-washing.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary work areas.
• Acts as cashier.
• May be assigned to any and all aspects of school food service operations.
• Prepares and cooks soups, pizza, meats, vegetables
• Makes salads and sandwiches and a variety of other foods
• May serve prepared meals from the steam table.
• Helps manager with inventory and may assist in food ordering

Requirements:

• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Good organizational skills.
• Dependability.
• Good people skills.
• Good physical condition.
• Team player.
• Patient with children.
• Basic math skills.
• Some food preparation experience preferred but not required.
