This scientist will work closely with an energetic research team to execute experiments and generate high-quality data by using cutting-edge platforms for genomic analysisResponsibilities –Nucleic acid isolation and QC, qPCR/dPCR/ddPCR, NGS library construction, including standard and high throughput RNA-seq (e.g. DRUG-seq) as well as ChIP-seq or CUT&RUN. Familiarity with BRAVO automation is preferred. Process NGS data and perform quality control. Experience with R and/or python programming languages is preferred. Operate high-throughput sequencers, sample quality control instruments, and automated liquid handlers, as well as maintenance of instruments and common laboratory material stocks. Organize and clearly document experimental samples and projects in an ELN. Basic QualificationsDoctoral degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or related fieldsORMaster’s degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, or genomics and at least 2 years of scientific experience in related fieldsPreferred QualificationsExcellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work well in teams Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills in generating high-quality NGS data Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects Adept with spreadsheet and word processing software Experience with NGS sequencing, computational data processing, and gene perturbation experience is a plus
