This role involves performing high-quality MIG and Flux-Core welding on pipes of various sizes and materials, including stainless steel 304 and 316. You will read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings while setting up, adjusting, and maintaining welding equipment to ensure precise and reliable welds.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and Flux-Core welding on pipes of various sizes and materials, including stainless steel 304 and 316.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately.
• Set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Prepare pipe joints and workpieces for welding by cleaning, aligning, and securing components.
• Perform pipe welding in 6G positions and complete required weld tests to meet quality and safety standards.
• Inspect welds for quality, accuracy, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
• Collaborate with fabrication and production teams to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

• 2+ years of pipe welding experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MIG welding processes.
• Proficiency in Flux-Core welding processes.
• Experience with pipe welding in 6G positions.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
• Ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment.
• Ability to pass weld tests as required.
• Experience working with stainless steel pipe, including 304 and 316 grades.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 6G welding certification.
• Experience with TIG welding.
• Experience with blueprint reading and fabrication work.
• Nice to have: D1.1 certification.
• Nice to have: D1.6 certification.

Work Environment

This position is based in a climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable and consistent work environment regardless of outdoor conditions. You will work on 1st shift and use a variety of welding equipment and tools to perform MIG, Flux-Core, and potentially TIG welding on pipes and fabricated components. The environment emphasizes safety, organization, and collaboration, with a focus on high-quality workmanship and adherence to welding standards.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Tulsa, OK.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
