Medical Assistant – Schaumburg – Orthopaedics Full‑time, 40 hours per week Hours: Monday‑Friday, 7:30 am‑4:30 pm Location: Schaumburg; Glen Ellyn on Fridays Travel: Expected to travel to other clinics for coverage as needed (Bloomingdale clinic as/when needed) Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental and vision benefits, including healthcare navigation assistance Access to a mental‑health benefit at no cost Employer‑provided life and disability insurance $5,250 tuition reimbursement per year Immediate 401(k) match Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100 % pay Financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non‑physician team members (once eligibility requirements are met) 40 hours paid volunteer time off A culture committed to community engagement and social impact Responsibilities Greet patients and assist with registration and scheduling, measuring vital signs and collecting health history Provide support to physicians during examinations, minor office surgeries, dressing changes and other first aid procedures Certified medical assistants may assist with immunizations or injections Assist patients with prescription requests, address pharmacy callbacks, provider orders, update charting and filing Conduct onsite lab testing (EKG, pulmonary function, blood glucose and urine pregnancy tests) Maintain clean, warm and inviting examination rooms for patient visits Provide excellent customer service exemplifying Duly Health and Care CARE values Travel to assist other local clinics may be required Qualifications High‑school diploma or GED required Completion of an accredited medical‑assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences, or related experience required Active medical‑assistant certification required for Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Family Practice (American Medical Technologists (AMT), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT), National Healthcareer Association (NHA), American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA), American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)) CPR certification required, or willing to become certified upon hire May require phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT, or related patient‑care role Compensation: Base pay range $21.43–23.63 per hour for a Medical Assistant; Certified or Registered Medical Assistants receive a base pay range of $22.97–24.57. Actual pay is determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity.
