About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 10.5 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - 2 years of RN experience - Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Endoscopy unit featuring 4 procedure rooms. Approximately 25 staff members work in the unit. Staffing includes RN, scrub tech, and scope room techs. Night shift staff are on call only. Patient ratios are approximately 20-30 patients each weekday. Equipment used includes Olympus scopes and Provation procedural documentation. EMR system utilized is Meditech. All RNs are trained to admit patients, circulate and scrub in procedural cases, and recover and discharge patients. Typical procedures performed include EGD, colonoscopy, ERCP, and bronchoscopy. Ideal candidates are fast-paced multi-taskers. Quick learners comfortable in frequently changing situations are preferred. Team-oriented individuals are highly valued. Floating to other areas is rare. Dress code is hospital-issued scrubs. Visible piercings are not permitted. Weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities required for all staff.
