Please confirm experience upon submission to avoid delays Cardiac drips: Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Nitroglycerin Diuretics: Bumex, Lasix Anticoagulants: Aggrastat, Argatroban, Heparin Insulin drips Minimum Experience: 1 year; 1st Timers not accepted Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS General Skills and Work Setting Requirements: Overflow IMCU; Arrhythmia management; Cardioversion, Cardiac CHF, Chest pain, Renal, Pulmonary (COPD, pulmonary edema) PE, DVT Cardiac Arrhythmias (stable A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia) Surgical (cholecystectomy, appy's, chest tubes, biliary drains) Occasional vascular patients, Post Cardiac Cath, TR Bands, DKA. Occasional Ortho or CVA patient overflow- These patients are transferred as soon as possible to appropriate unit; TR Bands as well as EVERYTHING under the MEd/Surg umbrella, Basic arrhythmia knowledge. Ratio / Census: 1:5-6; 32 beds Unit Systems: Epic (Preferred), Pyxis, SBAR Scrub Color: Navy Blue RTO: Maximum of 7 days per contract Weekends: Typically every other weekend though perm staff get scheduled first and the travelers fill in the gaps as needed Floating: Yes, within the facility/scope of practice as needed Call Requirements: Call is rare, response time is 2 hours. Travelers typically do not get Precedex, this is for core staff to manage Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major Holidays are listed below: Memorial Day Independence Day Labor Day Thanksgiving/Black Friday Christmas Eve/Christmas Day New Years Eve/New Years Day Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
