Survey Project Lead - Power Delivery

Job Type Full‑time Description Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Lead to join our team. The primary responsibilities involve working with the Division Survey Service Leader, the Regional Leader, and local service leaders to implement the land‑division strategic plan, business development, and operations for the Survey Service across the region. The role also includes mentoring and developing local Survey Service Leaders and working with leadership to develop annual business plans, strategy, and vision for maximizing Westwood’s share of the Survey Service in the region. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and coordinate service‑specific education and staff development in the region. Work with the Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan to advance service initiatives that support division goals. Provide leadership, mentoring, and empowerment to local service leaders in each office. Develop short‑ and long‑term growth plans for the survey service. Ensure company culture, policies, and procedures are consistently implemented within the service team. Stay current on service‑specific trends, technology, software, hardware, and equipment; drive value based on innovation. Develop and implement standards for work products such as design standards, reports, specifications, and data files. Coordinate service‑based workload across the region. Advise on hiring decisions and identify technical resource needs for the service group. Review compensation for consistency across the service team. Support market‑based or service‑based business development in each land office by providing technical expertise and revenue generation. Participate in Westwood’s wellness and safety program within the service group. Ensure division, regional, and company policies and practices are followed within the survey service. Lead by example—display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism. Required Experience Knowledge of the survey service consulting business. Must hold a professional survey license(s). Four‑year degree related to land surveying or a similar field. Excellent client‑relations skills. 10–15 years of experience in survey service. Excellent technical and project‑management skills. Experience in operations and business practices. Insight into the survey service. Effective written and verbal communication; independent judgment. Ability to handle multiple priorities.
