Inspector Packer

Inspector / Packer Position: Entry-level inspector and packer responsible for inspecting, packaging, labeling and handling finished goods. Requires continuous standing, reaching and grabbing on 12‑hour shifts. Purpose The primary goal is to ensure finished products meet quality, safety and packaging standards while maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities Follow all Berry safety and environmental policies and procedures. Follow OSHA rules and regulations. Inspect bottles and boxes for defects and damages, and ensure proper customer pack patterns are followed. Communicate and cooperate with team members to achieve department objectives. Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines, wearing required protective clothing and maintaining good hygiene. Identify and report violations and unsafe conditions to appropriate personnel. Respond effectively to emergency situations such as fire or accidents, directing others as needed. Operate packing equipment and basic machinery, including clearing jams and maintaining clean station areas. Palletize and band boxes weighing up to 35 lbs, and operate pallet jack as required. Seal, label, stack cartons and fill out necessary paperwork accurately. Prepare and construct cardboard boxes from collapsed cartons. Stand for up to 12 hours while packing bottles in cartons. Perform basic housekeeping and 5S activities to keep the area clean and orderly. Adhere to all department procedures and directives. Work overtime when needed. Stop work and put product on hold for quality issues. Qualifications Must pass a background check and drug test. Must monitor quality of machine output. Capable of lifting up to 35 pounds. Must be able to work in a production environment, recognizing various sounds and alarms. Must follow all department procedures and directives. Must perform all duties in a safe and effective manner. Preferred Requirements Manufacturing experience. High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Authority Stop work and halt production for quality or safety concerns.
