Baptist Health Offers Great NEW Competitive Pay and Great Benefits Package that Includes: Medical, Dental, Vision 403(b) Retirement Savings Plan Health Savings Account (HSA) Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid Time Off (up to 5 weeks to start) Life Insurance Extended Leave Plan (ELP) Family Care (childcare, elder care, pet care) Paid Parental Leave Pet Insurance Car Insurance Educational Benefits including tuition reimbursement & monthly payments to help pay down any graduated school debt ALL BENEFITS START DAY ONE Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Assist physicians and providers during examinations and surgical procedures Prepare patients for exams and procedures Collect and document patient histories, vitals, and clinical data Administer routine treatments and approved medications per provider direction Enter medication, lab, and diagnostic orders into the electronic medical record Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinical policies Coordinate scheduling for specialty testing and consultations Communicate professionally with patients, families, and practice staff Adhere to infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements Support front office functions as needed (scheduling, patient flow, discharge) Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program 1 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred Strong knowledge of: Medical terminology Clinical procedures and surgeries Ambulatory or surgical practice workflows Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team-based, fast-paced environment Required Skills: Manual Blood Pressure Readings, EKG, True CMA work This position does not require any lab skills as we use a 3rd party provider. Licensure & Certification Active Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent national MA certification (AAMA, NHA, AMT, NCCT, etc.) Current BLS (CPR) certification #J-18808-Ljbffr
