Mechanic Assistant

Job Description Job Description Onsite: This is an onsite position that requires the selected candidate to be onsite 5 days per week in Pontiac, Michigan. Key Responsibilities Complete preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles and equipment (brakes, oil changes, greasing, etc.) Assist lead mechanics with in-depth repairs Complete assignments efficiently and with accuracy Responsible for keeping the mechanics bay neat and organized Assist with maintaining the inventory of parts and supplies Participate in on-the-job training as needed Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED 1+ years of experience with mechanics/wrenching Self-motivated and able to keep up in fast paced setting Excellent communication skills Basic computer skills Problem-solving and decision‑making skills Ability to receive constructive criticism Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
