Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider role based in Denver, CO. The provider will deliver comprehensive care to patients with a range of gastrointestinal and related conditions, including conducting detailed histories, performing physical examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and developing evidence‑based treatment plans under established protocols. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include managing follow‑up visits, monitoring treatment responses, providing patient and family education, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, dietitians, and other multidisciplinary team members. The role also involves documenting care in the electronic health record, participating in quality improvement initiatives, supporting clinical pathways, and assisting with care transitions and discharge planning. The provider may collaborate on research or clinical program initiatives aligned with the institution’s mission in personalized and preventive medicine. Qualifications Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license, with national certification appropriate to role (e.g., ANCC/AANP or NCCPA). Demonstrated clinical experience or strong interest in Gastroenterology, internal medicine, or related subspecialties. Proficiency in obtaining comprehensive histories, performing focused physical exams, and formulating differential diagnoses. Ability to interpret laboratory results, imaging, and gastroenterology‑specific diagnostics and integrate findings into care plans. Strong patient education skills, including explaining diagnoses, procedures, medications, and lifestyle modifications in clear, accessible language. Effective collaboration skills for working within an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, and support staff. Comfort using electronic health records and clinical information systems to document care accurately and efficiently. Commitment to evidence‑based practice, continuous learning, and participation in quality improvement or clinical protocol development. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time‑management skills with the ability to prioritize a diverse clinical caseload.
