One of the things we love about Chinese food is that it's traditionally served family-style—shared with everyone gathered at the table.Under the close supervision of the Production Supervisor, the Food Production Technician is responsible for taking on various tasks to help support different areas of food production in the production and manufacturing plant.Duties/ResponsibilitiesPrepare ingredients to be used in dumpling and food productionProper sanitization and organization of tools and equipment to USDA standardsAdherence to MiLa's standard operating procedures, regarding food safety and quality assuranceOperate machinery to prepare soup dumpling and other food itemsWorking as a team during production, and independently during prep work.Varying schedule may include weekends, evenings, holidays, and other hours as business requires.Other duties as assignedRequired Skills & AbilitiesExperienced in large-scale food preparation and have the associated culinary and organizational skills.Ready to Learn.Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic environment that will require strong adherence to procedure AND attention to detail.Punctual, polite and professional.Capable of working independently and taking ownership in one's work.Able to follow instruction, and finish tasks to completion.Education & ExperienceWorking in previous food production is a plusMust be 18+ years oldWork Environment & Physical RequirementsWorking at MiLa is a physically demanding job - team members will need to be on their feet throughout their shifts and will need to be able to walk, bend, twist, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, push and pull.
