Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma hospital, requiring a CO or compact RN license and 2+ years of operating room experience. Details Operating Room unit with 17 surgical suites in a Level 1 trauma acute care hospital Average of 35 weekday cases and 10 weekend cases performed Common case types include orthopedic, neurological, and general surgery 12-hour day shifts scheduled Friday through Sunday, weekend shifts run 7a-7p 36 guaranteed hours per week over a 13-week assignment Uses EPIC EMR system No floating, on-call, or weeknight/weekend call requirements Holiday coverage required only if it falls on a regularly scheduled weekend shift 30-minute call response time required Scrubbing not required for RNs Scrubs provided by facility Requirements Active CO state or Compact (NLC) RN license required, pending licenses not accepted BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required BSN not required for this position Copy of driver's license required for consideration Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including employment dates and rehire eligibility Additional Information Unit-specific orientation provided in addition to 12 hours of general orientation Clinicians must be in-state for orientation week, even if initial modules are completed remotely Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the position Travelers hired into this facility are subject to a float radius policy and are expected to secure housing that allows for floating within the zone if required Interview process includes a profile review followed by an interview with the unit manager First-time travelers may be considered for this role These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
