Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Home Health position in Gassaway, WV, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Home health setting covering an 8-county service area including Braxton, Gilmer, Calhoun, Nicholas, Webster, Clay, Randolph, and Pocahontas counties
- Patient population includes general orthopedic conditions (hips, knees), generalized weakness, strengthening needs, and cardiac rehab
- Typical caseload of 5-6 units per day (SOC=2, Discharge=1, Recert=1.5, Regular visit=1)
- Day shift schedule, 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday
- Self-scheduling allowed, with flexibility to arrange patient visits by area
- No weekend or holiday requirements
- Uses Epic EMR for documentation
- Works alongside a team of 4 PTAs
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- State of WV PT licensure required if applicable
- Open and positive attitude toward learning the Epic documentation system required
Additional Information
- Main responsibilities include providing home health physical therapy services across an assigned multi-county territory
- Preference for candidates able to help cover Webster/Nicholas counties, though coverage area may be adjusted based on candidate location
- Department-specific orientation takes place at the Gassaway office, focused on Epic documentation and tailored to clinician needs
- Dress code includes navy scrubs or khaki bottoms with a navy polo
- Cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts per 13-week assignment
