Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: Registered Nurse Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification - Successful completion of a proctored rhythm test Must-Have: - BLS Certification - ACLS Certification - NIH Certification Description: Looking for highly motivated nurses to help in a PCU Cardiac Surgery Unit. This unit cares for patients who are status post cardiac surgery. The unit capacity is 24 beds. The population served includes pre and post cardiac surgery, acute coronary syndrome, heart failure, cardiomyopathy, unstable arrhythmias, and other related cardiac disorders. Patients served range from young adults to late adults (ages 18 - 60+). The nurse to patient ratio is 5:1. The core staffing plan includes registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), patient care technicians (PCTs), and nurse interns (NIs). An RN assumes full responsibility for the patients on each team.
