Maintenance Technician- MechanicalSite: OHL- Leipsic, OhioShift: 12-hour shiftThe Maintenance Technician's RoleThe Maintenance Technician's role is to provide on the production floor leadership to build Progressive Maintenance (PM) capability (breakdown elimination) and technical support (work order completion) for delivering the team's operational targets such as safety, quality, and efficiency results. This role must proactively identify and action risks to safety, food safety, quality and production losses. Technician must participate in coaching root cause problem solving with other Make and Pack Technicians on team, effectively communicate priorities and escalate issues within their area and across shifts.Minimum RequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalentTechnical Degree/Trade Certification OR 2+ years work experience related to industrial maintenancePossess a fundamental understanding of Electrical, Hydraulic, Pneumatic Schematics and/or Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problems with equipmentWillingness to develop required technical skillsPreferred Qualifications:Associate degree in a technical discipline, preferably in Industrial Maintenance/TechnologyTechnical/ Trade Certification in: Welding, Advanced Machinist Skills, fabrication, and blueprint interpretationPossess an advanced understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC 3 Phase), Hydraulic and Pneumatic Schematics and Mechanical Drawings in order to solve problemsPossess PLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skillsPhysical Requirements :Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and frequent pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.).Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform, climb stairs, leaning over equipment.Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum twelve hours in one shift).Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to support production needs and to conduct multi-task work in a very fast paced work environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform mechanical and electrical preventative maintenance on various manufacturing Make and Pack equipmentComplete work orders as assigned and proactively look at work orders to complete as time permitsDocument preventative maintenance and work orders using SAP Plant MaintenanceTroubleshoot and repair routine mechanical (hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical drive systems at the component level) and basic electrical problems on all plant equipmentWhat Can You Expect From Mars?Work with over 140,000 diverse and talented Associates, all guided by the Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company, where we're striving to build the world we want tomorrow, today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one, including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package, including company bonus.
