Key Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients, delivering competent nursing care across a range of simple to complex health conditions
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments; notes all changes in physician orders
• Obtains and monitors physiological data, observes patient manifestations, and intervenes when necessary
• Administers medications as prescribed; initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products
• Interacts with patients and families to share care plans during hospitalization and at time of discharge; makes referrals to appropriate personnel as needed
• Delegates tasks to support staff and assists physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience
• Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• PALS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher from a board-approved program
• Proficiency in organizing, planning, coordinating, and evaluating nursing services
