In this role, you will be responsible for receiving, transporting, storing, and staging raw materials, packaging, and finished goods while supporting efficient Shipping & Receiving and Production operations.This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment ideal for individuals who are organized, dependable, and committed to maintaining inventory accuracy, workplace safety, and food quality standards.Why Join Joseph's?Family-owned company with a collaborative and supportive cultureStable and growing organization with long-term opportunityCompetitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package, including:Health insurance401(k)Paid holidaysVacation timeOpportunity for cross-training and career growth within Shipping & Receiving and ProductionKey ResponsibilitiesReceive, inspect, stage, and organize incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goodsTransport ingredients, packaging materials, and supplies to production areas as neededDeliver finished pallets from Production to the Shipping & Receiving Department while ensuring all required documentation is completed accuratelyPerform inventory cycle counts and help maintain accurate inventory recordsEnsure proper inventory rotation (FIFO) and accurate product countsStack, stage, restack, and rebuild pallets as needed to support safe and efficient material handlingClean the exterior of ingredient containers, packaging, and finished goods before they enter production or are shippedOperate forklifts, electric counterbalance reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficientlyInspect material handling equipment before use and report maintenance or safety concernsOperate cardboard baling equipment safely to prepare recyclable materialsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentFollow all company policies and procedures, including:GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)HACCPFood Safety standardsEmployee Handbook policiesAdditional company procedures as assignedWork collaboratively with Production, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Sanitation, and Shipping & Receiving personnel to support efficient operationsParticipate in cross-training and perform additional duties as assignedQualifications & RequirementsPrevious Shipping & Receiving, warehouse, or manufacturing experience preferredForklift certification (Electric Counterbalance Reach Truck) preferred or the ability to become certifiedExperience operating forklifts, electric counterbalance reach trucks, and electric pallet jacks preferredBilingual (English and Spanish) required.Basic math skills requiredAbility to read, write, and understand basic instructions and warehouse documentationStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to accurately complete inventory and material movement documentationStrong work ethic with a commitment to safety, food safety, and qualityStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to cross-train in other Shipping & Receiving and Production functionsReliable attendance and punctuality requiredAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequent lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, reaching, and repetitive movementsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. as neededAbility to safely operate powered industrial equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environmentScheduleFull -time positions availableOpenings available on 1st ShiftOvertime may be available based on business needsAdditional InformationThis is a full-time onsite position located in Lawrence, MA.Relocation assistance is not available.Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.Equal Opportunity EmployerJoseph's Middle East Bakery is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and providing equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants.
