We are seeking a seasoned leader to drive integrated marketing for MUSC Health’s Heart & Vascular service line.

From advanced cardiovascular interventions and complex heart failure care to innovative approaches in diagnosis, treatment, and prevention, MUSC Heart & Vascular is advancing cardiovascular care across South Carolina. The Heart & Vascular Integrated Innovation Institute brings together clinical care, research, and education across the cardiovascular continuum, including atherosclerosis and remodeling, cardiometabolic disease, heart failure, heart valve and aortic disease, complex arrhythmias, cerebrovascular disease, and heart-brain health. Through precision phenotyping, innovative diagnostics and interventions, population-based implementation science, and multidisciplinary collaboration, MUSC is accelerating discovery and translating innovation into better outcomes for patients statewide.

We are looking for a seasoned marketer to lead heart & vascular marketing efforts. This senior leader will serve as a relationship manager to key internal stakeholders, aligning on strategic priorities that inform comprehensive marketing communication plans. The individual will lead horizontal collaboration across the Office of Communications and Marketing (OCM), including communications, brand, public relations, and web, to develop and execute fully integrated strategies. Experience with PESO (paid, earned, shared, owned) channel strategy is required. This is an on-site role in downtown Charleston and reports to MUSC's Enterprise Deputy Chief Marketing Officer.

Job Description

Principal Accountabilities:

• 50% - Establishes strategic vision and leads development of heart & vascular-focused marketing communication strategies across enterprise, clinical, academic, and research missions for MUSC. Proactively monitors industry trends to inform long-term planning and growth strategies. Develops data-driven business cases that justify marketing investments to drive growth and market differentiation.

• 20% - Designs and executes integrated marketing campaigns and digital journeys tailored to key heart & vascular audiences. Drives alignment across internal teams and external agency partners to deliver cohesive, high-impact strategies. Evaluates performance and communicates results, insights, and optimization opportunities clearly and effectively. Guides and influences cross-functional contributors to execute against strategic objectives. Synthesizes multiple data sources and inputs to determine quantifiable, measurable business impact and efficacy of marketing efforts.

• 20% - Demonstrates strong executive presence and leadership, aligning cross-functional stakeholders around shared marketing goals. Serves as the primary liaison between heart & vascular service line leaders and OCM, ensuring consistent communication and strategic alignment.

• 10% - Leverages market research, competitive intelligence, CRM insights, and analytics to inform strategy and measure effectiveness. Assesses market dynamics, including demographics, competition, and environmental factors, to develop and execute both short- and long-term marketing plans that drive measurable ROI.

Additional Job Description

Position Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field, with 10+ years of relevant experience.

• Master's degree (MBA, MHA, or equivalent) preferred.

• Experience leading integrated marketing for heart and vascular services or other complex clinical service lines preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, and manage complex campaigns.

• Experience in a university, academic health system, or integrated delivery network environment preferred.
