Fund Product Specialists act as subject-matter experts on investment funds, serving as a bridge between investment teams, distribution, investor relations, and internal stakeholders. The role blends deep product knowledge, analytical support, and clear communication to ensure funds are accurately represented and effectively supported across the organization.
These roles involve close collaboration with portfolio managers, investment analysts, product managers, sales teams, compliance, and operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain deep expertise on assigned investment funds and strategies
Support sales, distribution, and investor relations teams with product information and analysis
Prepare and maintain product materials, presentations, and fact sheets
Analyze fund performance, positioning, and competitive landscape
Respond to internal and external inquiries regarding fund structure, strategy, and performance
Partner with investment teams to translate portfolio activity into client-friendly messaging
Coordinate with compliance and legal teams to ensure accurate and approved disclosures
Assist with product launches, updates, and ongoing product enhancements
Track market trends and investor demand to inform product positioning
Prepare regular and ad-hoc product reporting for senior management
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
Strong understanding of investment products and asset management
Experience in product specialist, investor relations, sales support, or investment analysis roles is a plus
Familiarity with equities, fixed income, alternatives, or private markets
Strong analytical and presentation skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with CRM or reporting tools is a plus
Ability to communicate complex investment concepts clearly and concisely
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
High level of professionalism and client orientation
