A leading, well respected, national law firm is seeking a mid-level Commercial Litigation Associate to join its Chicago office. This is an strong opportunity for a litigator who enjoys high-level, substantive work and wants meaningful responsibility as part of a collaborative and highly respected trial team.

The group handles sophisticated business disputes in both Illinois State and Federal courts and is looking for an attorney who is confident managing complex litigation matters while continuing to develop as a strategic advocate and trusted advisor.

What You’ll Work On:

• Handle all phases of complex commercial litigation matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other substantive filings
• Manage discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositions
• Work with experts and assist in developing case strategy
• Participate in court appearances, hearings, arbitrations, and trial preparation
• Collaborate closely with partners and clients on high-stakes business disputes

What the Firm Is Looking For:

• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
• Admission to the Illinois Bar required
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience at a law firm or as a Federal Court judicial clerk
• Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
• Experience taking and defending depositions preferred
• Excellent organizational and case management abilities
• Someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced team environment
