General Function A licensed Optician at Sunglass Hut will serve as an ambassador of the Sunglass Hut brand by delivering great service through the Sunglass Hut Experience. You will be an on-the-floor leader, filling ophthalmic sunglass prescriptions and fitting/adapting lenses and frames. In addition, you will be performing all functions related to the Sunglass Hut Experience and Store Operations to support and assist management in achieving sales goals, including learning and maintaining knowledge of the policies and procedures for opening, closing, and operating the store. Responsibilities Welcome all customers and set expectations Custom fit glasses & precisely place prescription in lenses Act as a leader in optical acumen Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensuring finished eyewear meets standards & customer needs Assist team with complex product needs & prescriptions Use technology accurately despite time pressure & customer volume, demonstrating exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools Proactively explore root causes of issues, forward think, ensuring customers are satisfied & expectations are exceeded, solution driven Multi-task, prioritize & manage time with competing priorities Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs & competencies Take pride in store appearance, help keep store clean, attractive & organized Be resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement & results Adhere to company policies & procedures, including discounts, promotions & inventory management Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent State Licensure in Opticianry Optical dispensing experience Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener & team builder Knowledge of current store merchandise Strong basic math skills Awareness of current fashion trends Selling skills – ability to use & carry an iPAD/tablet Familiarity with POS, computers & calculators Embrace new technology & change Preferred Qualifications Previous customer service & retail experience Benefits Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
