Depending on the review of school needs and the evaluation process, the term may be extended annually. Instruct players on rules, equipment, and techniques to improve performance. Develop strategies based on team capabilities. Enforce conduct standards and supervise athletes at all times. Track academic performance to ensure eligibility. Encourage high academic standards among athletes. Implement procedures for handling injuries. Maintain open communication with parents/guardians. Comply with athletic program regulations at all levels. Model sportsmanship and appropriate behavior for athletes. Represent the club by engaging with media and community organizations. Oversee the care and maintenance of equipment. Maintain records, including eligibility forms and equipment inventory. Attend professional development sessions to enhance coaching skills. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must have excellent planning and organization skills Must have the ability to work collaboratively with others Must have strong verbal communication skills Must model a desire and willingness to learn continually Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, run, jump, stretch, stand, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. The employee may occasionally climb stairs, ropes, or ladders. Specific vision abilities required in this job include close vision, distance vision, ability to adjust focus, and peripheral vision. The employee must have the ability to demonstrate the proper techniques and skills needed for athletic participation.
