VP, Scientific IT Business Partner

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Vice President of Scientific IT Business Partnership to lead IT strategy and execution for Research & Development and Technical Operations. This senior role translates functional business strategy into technology roadmaps, manages the scientific IT portfolio, and partners with executive leadership to advance clinical development, regulatory, and manufacturing capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior IT business partner to R&D and TechOps executive leaders, building trusted relationships and translating strategy into technology roadmaps
• Own the Scientific IT portfolio, budget, roadmap, and prioritization of initiatives across the scientific value chain
• Provide strategic guidance on technology, data, automation, and AI opportunities to improve compliance, visibility, and decision-making
• Represent scientific organization needs within IT leadership and enterprise governance forums to ensure appropriate sequencing and visibility
• Partner with PMO and IT functions to ensure initiatives are properly scoped, resourced, governed, and delivered with clear business cases

Requirements

• Deep life sciences technology experience and familiarity with R&D and technical operations environments
• Senior IT leadership experience with proven executive influence and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to develop and execute multi-year technology strategy aligned with business objectives
• Strong portfolio and roadmap management experience with budget ownership and investment prioritization
• Cross-functional leadership capability across clinical development, regulatory, quality, and manufacturing domains
• Experience translating business strategy into practical technology plans and operating models
