RCM Support Staff Eligibility

We are looking for a detail-oriented RCM Eligibility Specialist to support eligibility review and claim readiness for patient accounts. This contract opportunity focuses on confirming insurance coverage, correcting account issues that could delay reimbursement, and helping ensure claims are submitted accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a high-volume healthcare environment, communicates effectively with multiple stakeholders, and maintains strong accuracy across revenue cycle activities.Responsibilities:• Verify patient insurance coverage and benefit details for laboratory-related services before claims are submitted.• Communicate with internal staff, provider offices, patients, and payers to clarify coverage questions and resolve missing or conflicting account information.• Record eligibility findings and account updates accurately within revenue cycle and healthcare software systems.• Review claim edits and billing exceptions, then investigate issues that may prevent clean claim submission.• Address discrepancies involving coding, billing data, and medical necessity in coordination with appropriate team members.• Support timely claim processing by correcting missing elements and escalating complex issues when needed.• Follow established billing, compliance, and privacy standards when handling patient and insurance information.• Contribute to additional revenue cycle support tasks as assigned to meet operational needs.
