Job Summary Leads and/or participates in designing, developing and maintaining data pipelines, data integration solutions and ETL/ELT processes utilizing data engineering tools and platforms to support analytics and reporting across TMNAS Business Units. Essential Job Functions Leads and/or participates in the design and development of complex data pipelines, ETL processes and decision support systems’ data procedures Leads and/or participates in implementation of data integration solutions to ensure the availability of high-quality data for analytics and reporting Collaborates with data analysts, architects, engineers and business stakeholders to understand data requirements Ensures data quality and consistency by identifying and resolving data issues and creating data reconciliations Optimizes data workflows and processing for performance, scalability, and reliability Monitors data pipelines and proactively addresses issues to minimize downtime and disruptions Works with stakeholders to aid with data-related technical issues Documents data engineering processes, data lineage, and data dictionaries Stays current with data engineering technologies, best practices, and industry trends Creates, maintains and updates various knowledge articles such as Standard Operating Procedures, Knowledge Base Articles, FAQ, Design and Configuration documents Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred Master’s degree preferred 7+ years of overall IT experience. 3+ years of experience in data engineering and management Strong knowledge of SQL and SQL programming SQL Server-specific knowledge required Strong knowledge of Python preferred Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms preferred (Databricks/Snowflake/Azure) Knowledge of Informatica is preferred Knowledge of P&C Insurance industry preferred Strong proficiency in data processes and knowledge of data models Strong knowledge of data engineering technologies and tools, including data lakes, data warehouses, and cloud-based solutions Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint) Knowledge of techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems, ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations Proactive approach in staying updated on industry trends and emerging data technologies Strong writing and communication skills Strong customer service orientation (responsive, consultative, collaborative and accurate) Strong interpersonal relationship building skills: able to work with a variety of people and groups in a constructive and collaborative manner Strong analytical ability with the capability to determine the root cause of problems and issues and provide solutions Strategic thinking: Applies organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization Superior attention to detail Ability to juggle multiple, competing, frequently changing time-sensitive deadlines and priorities Ability to work effectively and lead a team Salary range $108,000 to $135,000. Ultimate salary offered will be based on factors such as applicant experience and geographic location. Our company offers a competitive benefits package and bonus eligibility on top of base.
