Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and machinery, utility trucks, bucket lefts. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.
Duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades.
- Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes and to assist in repairs.
- Service air brake systems and perform necessary adjustments or replacements.
- Work collaboratively with other technicians to transmit information regarding equipment status and repair needs.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory.
- Follow safety protocols while working in various environments, including outdoor settings.
- Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience as a mechanic or service technician.
- Knowledge of hydraulics systems and their operation.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (up to 50 pounds).
- Experience in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Familiarity with air brake systems and their servicing requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively transmit information within the team.
Pay: $28-34 Per Hour
