Distribution Associate (Returns Processor) - 1st Shift
Location: Four Oaks, NC 27524 | Contractor | $17.00/hr
Join a dynamic warehouse team as a Distribution Associate, specializing in processing returned products to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Play a key part in BD's supply chain while building valuable skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment. This full-time, 1st-shift role offers hands-on experience with leading warehouse management systems and opportunities for cross-training and advancement. Responsibilities - Receive, inspect, and sort returned products for damage, defects, and accuracy.
- Document return reasons, product details, and disposition outcomes using RF scanning technology.
- Repackage, re-label, and prepare items for restocking, quarantine, or disposal.
- Accurately pick, scan, and label products for customer orders and palletize shipments.
- Operate material handling equipment safely; report damage and maintain cleanliness.
- Conduct inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and participate in Lean initiatives.
- Maintain rigorous documentation and adhere to safety and quality standards.
- Cross-train in multiple warehouse roles to provide support during peak periods. Required Skills and Experience - Minimum 1 year of experience in distribution, warehousing, or similar environment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Ability to use RF scanners and interpret distribution documents.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operating or willingness to train on material handling equipment. Preferred Skills - Electric pallet jack certification.
- Experience with warehouse management systems and Lean/5S practices.
