As the largest bookmaker in the United States, you will help move the finished product out the door and into the hands of readers across the country. No experience necessary! We will provide you with all the training you need to be successful. Advancement opportunities are available!Starting Rate: $18.19 (Base $17.00 + 7% Shift Differential)Hours: 12hr 6pm-6am Shifts: Monday-Tuesday-Wednesday, every other ThursdayLocation: 2347 Kratzer Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22802 and 1025 Willow Springs Rd; Harrisonburg, VA 22801As our Material Handler, you will:Feed book sections into a binding machineMove books from the production line and stack them into boxesWork in a team environment and cross-train with othersReceive training to help advance your careerQualifications:Ability to lift up to 50 poundsAbility to stand for the entire duration of your shiftAbility to read and interpret written work which indicates the number and sequence of machine operations required to complete the work and maintain dimensional accuracy in accordance with instructions providedAt Lakeside Book Company, we value craftsmanship and collaboration by encouraging employees to improve their skills and capabilities.
